Megan is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with close to 20 years of experience as a school social worker, specializing in supporting youth in care. She has dedicated her career to helping vulnerable children secure essential resources and understand their rights. Megan is passionate about advocating for those in need and creating opportunities for growth and stability.

Beyond her professional work, Megan enjoys spending time with her family and cheering on her children in their various sporting activities. She is also an active member of her church, where she serves as the Assistant Sunday School Director.

Kari brings over 20 years of experience as a school social worker in the public education system to her role at We Are Called To Care. She is passionate about helping children and families discover new perspectives and develop practical skills to overcome life’s challenges. Her expertise extends beyond the classroom, as she has dedicated much of her career to suicide education and grief support. Kari’s compassionate approach creates a safe space for clients to navigate obstacles and embrace healing.

SHARI CHAPMAN, MSW, LSW

Shari enjoys walking alongside people on the challenging roads of life. She specializes in helping individuals gain the skills and insights needed to experience JOY amidst pain and struggle. Shari's personal experience as a biological, foster, and adoptive parent gives her a unique approach to working with those impacted by foster care and adoption.


We do not have a waiting area. Several restaurants are nearby, and Walmart is just 1 mile away.

Is there a waiting area for me while my child is in therapy?

Our services are available to any child, teen, or adult who has been impacted by foster care or adoption in any way.

Do you only see children in the
foster care system?

At our Called to Care location, 1111 W South St, Plano, IL.

Where is your office located?

For individuals over the age of 18, Telehealth is an option.
